Though ticket sales were picking up following Cincinnati's 27-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team still required additional time to sell the remaining tickets, which would allow the Bengals to declare a sellout. They requested and were granted an extension until Friday at 4 PM by the NFL, with reportedly five to ten thousand available tickets
This is the third sellout dating back to the regular season finale last season against the Baltimore Ravens, which needed help applying a buy one get one free deal for season ticket holders, despite the game having postseason implications before Sunday's early afternoon games kicked off.
