The Cincinnati Bengals have held a second half lead in the past three games, only to be significantly outscored in the second half leading to a four-game losing streak.

There is one caveat with the Cincinnati Bengals this year; they're not necessarily getting blown out during their four-game losing streak. In fact the Bengals have secured second half leads, only to lose the game by its conclusion; many times due to self-imposed mistakes.

Week Six against the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati held a 14-7 second quarter lead, incrementally losing the advantage throughout the rest of the afternoon. Yet Cincinnati held on by a thread of a single point in the third quarter. Eventually the Browns scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, winning the game 34-24.

During Sunday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bengals took a 14-3 second quarter lead, even snapping a 14-point tie with a third quarter field goal to take a 17-14 lead. Pittsburgh went on a 10-0 run after that to win 24-17.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, giving Cincinnati a 20-17 lead last week. Peyton Manning led the Broncos on consecutive possessions to give Denver an eventual 31-23 win.

During Cincinnati's four-game losing streak, the Bengals have been outscored 13-26 in the third quarter and 27-48 in the fourth; combined Cincinnati has been outscored 40-74 in the second half.
