Following Brandon Tate's fumble during New York's second punt of the game, the Giants pressed their advantage into the redzone midway through the first quarter. Yet Cincinnati's defense went into bend but don't break mode, forcing short passes and limiting Ahmad Bradshaw's carries.
On third and four from the Bengals six-yard line, Eli Manning takes the shotgun snap and flips the football to Bradshaw out of the backfield while under pressure, picking up only one yard and falling three yards short of the first down marker.
Lawrence Tynes converts the 23-yard field goal, getting New York on the board 14-3.
