Bengals Take 14-3 On Beautiful Jay Gruden Naked Boot Call On Fourth Down

Thanks to a five-yard penalty on Kansas City's punt, the Cincinnati Bengals open a possession with over ten minutes remaining in the second quarter. On the first down play, first of the possession, Andy Dalton fakes the handoff and flings the football down the right sidelines, where A.J. Green makes an amazing over the shoulder 40-yard reception. The Chiefs were penalized for unnecessary roughness on the play, giving the Bengals another nine yards to the Chiefs eight-yard line.

Again the Bengals stall. Momentarily. A one-yard gain by BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and Andy Dalton taking a redzone sack, losing four yards on the play, setting up a third and goal from the 11-yard line. Dalton connects with Gresham, five yards shy of the endzone. Yet Gresham doesn't go down. In fact he carries a handful of Chiefs defenders into the endzone for the touchdown. At least at first. A review determines that the football was downed inside the one-yard line.

Andy Dalton fakes the handoff and runs a naked boot to the left without a single Chiefs defender thinking that this play was possible. Easy touchdown.

Bengals take a 14-3 lead.
