Marvin Lewis on Andrew Hawkins: "Probably A Day To Day Thing"

Bengals wide receiver Andrew Hawkins suffered a knee injury during practice last week.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrew Hawkins suffered a knee injury during Friday's practice, showing up on the team's final injury report as questionable. Eventually he sat during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, where his role was largely fulfilled by rookie Mohamed Sanu, who posted a touchdown reception; his second in as many games.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told the media during Monday's press conference that Hawkins will "probably" be a day to day thing, tweets Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer. The initial reports suggested that Hawkins suffered a knee sprain/strain on Friday.

Since enjoying a fast start earlier this year, Hawkins' production has slowed. After the game against the Washington Redskins, Hawkins was on pace to generate 64 receptions for 1,109 yards receiving. However the second-year receiver hasn't breached 50 yards since posting 66 against the Redskins in Week Three, currently on pace for 630 yards receiving.
