Oakland Raiders Without Their Top Two Running Backs

The Cincinnati Bengals will play host to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, who will be without their top two running backs this weekend.

Oakland Raiders running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson, the top two running backs on the Oakland Raiders depth chart, are out this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. McFadden hasn't played since November 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Goodson was wearing a boot as late as Thursday.

Compounding the issue is that second-year back Taiwan Jones, listed as questionable on Friday, is dealing with ankle injury that he suffered against the New Orleans Saints last week, limiting his his practices heading into Week 12 against the Bengals.

What's the impact of those injuries for the Oakland Raiders? I asked Levi Damien with SB Nation's site Silver and Black Pride.

Marcel Reece will be the starting running back again. He had over 100 yards rushing last week (103) and nearly 200 yards of total offense (193) so he does well. Unfortunately, the only other back is rookie practice squad call-up Jeremy Stewart. I have a feeling Taiwan Jones will be active although not see much if any action. He suffered the ankle injury last week against the Saints and returned to the game. He was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday and appeared as limited on Thursday and Friday.
