Defense

Best: Geno Atkins (+8.9... not a misprint- 2nd week in a row he graded exactly +8.9)

Other good grades: Michael Johnson (+2.4), Reggie Nelson (+1.0), Manny Lawson (+1.0;+1.9 pass rush), Adam Jones (+0.9)

Worst: Rey Maualuga (-1.7; -2.1 run defense)
Other bad grades: Vontaze Burfict (-1.5), Robert Geathers (-1.0; -2.1 pass rush), Terence Newman (-0.9; -0.9 run defense)

Other performances of note:

-Holy cow, Geno: Geno Atkins' pass rush grade for the entire year is +33.2. Second place on the team is Manny Lawson with +1.8. The cumulative team pass rushing grade WITHOUT Geno is -25.7.

-Geno also has the highest run defense grade on the team for the year (+14.2), with Michael Johnson in second place (+9.6) and Carlos Dunlap in third (+4.0).

-In his most active game yet, Mohamed Sanu graded -0.2 overall.

-Clint Boling had a poor day pass blocking (-2.1), but his run blocking grade for the game (+3.2) was the highest so far this season among all Bengals' players. The next highest was a +3.1, also scored by Boling all the way back in Week 1.

-Pat Sims graded positively in run defense (+0.8 in 21 snaps) for the first time this year.

-Aside from Emmanuel Lamur (+0.6), the linebackers had uncharacteristically poor grades in run defense (Lawson: -0.9, Maualuga: -1.7, Burfict: -1.2).

-For the second game in a row, Jermaine Gresham graded very well in run blocking (+1.6). In the last 4 games, he's graded well in all phases of the game (+2.3 receiving; +2.0 pass block; +0.4 run block) except for penalties (-1.7).
