Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver suffered a stress fracture during Thursday's practice and could be out for the rest of the year.
The uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Sanu's injury was concerning, because the severity was so extreme. Was it minor without warranting a mention? Or really bad and there's just nothing that can be done at this point?
Apparently it's more to the latter than the former.
Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told the media on Friday that Sanu suffered a stress fracture during practice on Thursday. Sanu will go under the knife on Monday and Lewis said he could be out for the season.
What a tough break.
Sanu was entering this week on a three-game touchdown streak, with four scores dating back to Week 10 against the New York Giants.
