Cincinnati Bengals safety Reggie Nelson missed every practice this week, currently listed as doubtful.

Safety Reggie Nelson sat during Friday's practice, marking the third practice this week that he didn't participate in. The final injury report of the week lists Nelson as doubtful, ensuring that Nelson's chances are significantly reduced against the New York Giants.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis tends to sit players that missed an entire week's worth of practice; as well as players listed as doubtful on injury reports.

If Nelson doesn't play, and at this rate we're not expecting it, it will be the first game during his Bengals career that he'll miss with an injury. Lewis quoted by Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer.

"We will be all right," head coach Marvin Lewis said. "Crocker has helped stabilize things with his experience. He’s been through the defensive system for a number of years and has been able to help other guys."

Chris Crocker and Nate Clements are projected as the starting safeties this weekend against New York.
