The Cincinnati Bengals Player Power Rankings is a weekly ranking system that not only figures the best players on the team, but the players playing the best. Despite being out of their control, injuries and inactives are huge hits largely because they're not contributing. This week, there was a bunch of change as this team takes it’s first loss in five weeks.

Notes |
|
1 |
Geno Atkins |
1 |
-- |
Another dominant game by Atkins as both a run and pass defender. |
|
2 |
A.J. Green |
2 |
-- |
This was easily Green's worst game of the season if not his career. He wasn't his self; dropped two balls and seemed out-of-it at times. |
|
3 |
Andre Smith |
3 |
-- |
I think the Bengals now have three elite players at their respective positions. After Andre Smith, the drop off is significant. |
|
4 |
Andrew Whitworth |
7 |
+3 |
Very good pass protection day by Whitworth against DeMarcus Ware. Did they run left besides the reverse? |
|
5 |
Leon Hall |
6 |
+1 |
Loved Hall's game for about 95% of the snaps. Great against the run and in coverage except that bracket coverage on Bryant's TD. |
|
6 |
Kevin Zeitler |
4 |
-2 |
OK, now he's hitting that rookie wall. Zeitler seems to have hit that plateau. |
|
7 |
Andy Dalton |
5 |
-2 |
Dalton was poor again this week. He felt phantom pressure and missed high on too many throws. |
|
8 |
Jermaine Gresham |
10 |
+2 |
Gresham is playing his best football. That one-handed catch was nuts and he flashed as a blocker again. |
|
9 |
Adam Jones |
8 |
-1 |
He kept everything in front of him but I felt like he could've had tighter coverage and he missed a big tackle on Cowboys' first drive. |
|
10 |
Carlos Dunlap |
8 |
-2 |
Dunlap is playing very good against the run right now. We need to focus on that. |
|
11 |
Reggie Nelson |
13 |
+2 |
Nelson had an interception, sack and set a physical tone in the secondary. |
|
12 |
Michael Johnson |
12 |
-- |
Johnson had a solid pass rushing game against an equally-athletic Cowboys LT. |
|
13 |
Andrew Hawkins |
17 |
+4 |
Hawkins has helped me forget about Sanu's injury. He's picked up where he left off. |
|
14 |
BenJarvus Green-Ellis |
18 |
+4 |
He running through huge holes, but BJGE has been better in pass protection and dragging tacklers lately. |
|
15 |
Clint Boling |
11 |
-4 |
Poor day all around for Boling. The only game where he really hurt the offense. |
|
16 |
Rey Maualuga |
14 |
-2 |
Decent coverage on Jason Witten, who is an obvious HOF tight end. Good run defense all around. |
|
17 |
Vontaze Burfict |
15 |
-2 |
Burfict had one of his better days of the past 4-6 weeks. |
|
18 |
Terrence Newman |
16 |
-2 |
Newman could've closed the game with two interception opportunities. He failed to deliver and then gave poor effort on the Cowboys last play. |
|
19 |
Domata Peko |
19 |
-- |
He was really good against the run. One of the few games where Peko made an impact. |
|
20 |
Kevin Huber |
NR |
-- |
Huber needs to be recognized for the year he's having. He needs to be re-signed. |
Just Missed the Cut: Marvin Jones, Trevor Robinson, Kyle Cook, Chris Pressley, Pat Sims
