Dalton Touchdown Run Gives Bengals a 17-13 Lead

Stay connected for news and updates

The Bengals have finally taken the lead over Philadelphia again. After Leon Hall intercepted Nick Foles, Andy Dalton led the Bengals on an eight play, 40 yard drive. The drive took four minutes and 34 seconds off the clock. Andy Dalton capped off the drive with an eleven yard touchdown run that was not a designed draw.

The Bengals started the drive on the Philadelphia 40 yard line. A Dennis Roland holding penalty put the Bengals at midfield. BenJarvus Green-Ellis then sprang forward with a 16 yard run into Philly territory. Two plays later, Dalton completed a pass to A.J. Green for 11 yards on third and nine. It was a great catch on a high throw by Dalton. After a delay of game, Dalton scrambled into the end zone to give the Bengals the lead. The Bengals lead 17-13 with 20 seconds left in the third quarter.
