Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals may have lost their starting fullback for the season after suffering a kneeing injury against the Philadelphia Eagles.

With three minutes remaining in the first quarter, Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis pounded the football between the guards, picking up one yard on one first and ten to Cincinnati's 46-yard line. During the play Bengals fullback Chris Pressley collapsed while holding his knee, obviously in pain when describing to trainers what was going on.

Fortunately he walked off under his own power, but was quickly ruled out of the game -- which usually only happens if the injury is serious.

After the game Pressley was on crutches and Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer said that "let's just say (Lewis) didn't sound optimistic." Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com writes that it's "feared his knee injury has taken him out for the rest of the season."

If his season is over, Pressley will have participated in 187 offensive snaps this season, not rushing the football but scoring a one-yard touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in September.
