The more I look at the track of this Bengals team the more I am reminded of the NY Giants. They were a team of mediocrity with calls for their head coach to be fired as they were slowly compiling a young, talented roster, much like the track of the recent Bengals. Then, for their first SB, the Giants ended the year as one of the hottest teams. At times their offense looked unstoppable and at times they couldn't move the ball, again, much like our current Bengals. They had a defense which grew stronger during the year and was composed of a dominant collection of defensive linemen who were involved in a rotation and could get after the QB like no other front four. Sound familiar? They drafted a QB of the future prior to this run, who was inconsistent but had a knack for winning games. More similarities? Maybe I'm way off on this but the similarities to me seem a little uncanny. I just hope the Bengals find the same SB victory at the end of this run.
