It took awhile but the Bengals finally announced that this weekend's regular season finale has sold out.
It's a story that hasn't faded. Won't fade. Despite clinching a postseason berth during Cincinnati's 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bengals needed every bit of the time available to them to sellout this weekend, hosting the regular season finale against the Baltimore Ravens.
Cincinnati sold out six of eight games this season, but most of the games came down to last second sell outs, save for the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys.
The Bengals can't improve their playoff position so the game is meaningless in that regard, but head coach Marvin Lewis intends to play the starters and it's a good idea in practice, keeping momentum going into the postseason.
And finally we can close the book on this story until next September.
