The Cincinnati Bengals are hosting veteran place kickers on Thursday, leading speculation that Mike Nugent, who missed Wednesday's practice, could miss time.

Cincinnati Bengals place kicker Mike Nugent didn't practice during Wednesday's session with a calf injury according to the team's injury/practice report. However serious is it? According to Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Cincinnati Bengals are inviting veteran kickers Josh Brown and Nate Kaeding for tryouts on Thursday.

Nugent has converted only 82.6 percent of his kicks this year.

Brown recently played for the St. Louis Rams in 2011, converting only 21 of 28 field goals during his final season. The nine-year veteran played for Seattle and St. Louis. Kaeding was released in late October by the San Diego Chargers with a groin injury.

Now it may not translate that Nugent is significantly hurt, but if he needs time off, the Bengals will need a kicker against the Cowboys.

UPDATE: Joe Reedy corrected that Nate Kaeding may not be trying out on Thursday, but others will.
