Nugent Injury Not Believed To Be Serious

According to Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com, the calf injury that Bengals place kicker Mike Nugent reportedly suffered on Wednesday is "believed not to be a major injury, but it may take a week to get out the tweak."

It wouldn't be the first time Cincinnati required the brief stint from a free agent kicker. In 2008 Shayne Graham missed two games, so the Bengals signed Dave Rayner who had been with the team during the preseason. Nugent also missed time in 2009 with a torn ACL, so the team signed Clint Stitser. But the former comparison appears more relatable to the current situation.
