Guard situation and AC

Can anyone tell me why there is no talk of moving Andre Smith to right guard and resigning Anthony Collins to play right tackle? It seems like everyone feels there's no way we can resign AC because he could be a starter elsewhere, let's make him a starter here and see if we can address the Livings issue with Boling, Hudson, or a free agent like Nicks or bringing back Mathis. Seems like that would free up our first round options nicely to address the secondary or take the best player available at DT, DE, or WR.

I think this might be one of the few votes that would be completely in favor of if you put up a fan vote......

we won’t do because Andre makes T money, so we seem to refuse to move him to G because of this. To me Andre is a G in the NFL and this would greatly improve our line to kick him inside and re-sign AC to play RT. Then we only have one real G issue to address and have a couple guys for depth already. It almost makes too much sense, this is why I worry it won’t happen!

We've all been talking about it for over a year

but I don’t know why the coaches don’t talk about it.

Well, actually I think I do.

Because Paul Alexander still thinks even Roland is better than Collins. No one knows why.

Guard

I have stated this numerous times in other post’s,it is the best solution in my opinion so we can go after DB’s with the first two pick’s and knowing how tight MB is I feel it is the way they will go but I have been wrong before, every now and then a blind squiral get’s a nut.The problem is we have a lot invested in Smith so they may let Collin’s walk.
I do not like us taking a RB in the first round because of our history with RB’s in that round and there are enough good ones in later rounds not trying to be a homer but i have watched plenty of tape on the top RB’s and Pead is the one i think we should take he will punish the opposing D if you watch film he will finish a run and pound the defensive player trying to stop him by lowering his shoulder and hitting that guy first and he has some moves, i really like the kid.

I've also said play Andre at guard..

Collins played fairly well at tackle and i think if we did that and drafted or signed a FA guard our line would be set.

1st RD-Dre Kirkpatrick-CB
1st RD-Cordy Glenn-OG
2nd RD-Brandon Thompson-DT
3rd RD-Amini Silatolu-OG
4th RD-Marvin Jones-WR
5th RD-Marquis Maze-KR

FA:
SS-Laron Landry
RB-Micheal Bush
