Curveball strategy
Our leader Mike has a penchant for doing things we don't always support. Saying this, what he is doing in the last few years is slowly starting to work. I think there is a chance he signs Hillis out of Cleveland for a discount price and drafts all defense first round and all depth the rest of the way through.
I know I'm gonna get creamed on the boards for this, but don't hate me for it. Other than the 2OG holes we have, it wouldn't be unwise to try it. Hillis will want to prove he can make the big bucks and I'm sure we won't give him all the money up front.
Go ahead and tear me to pieces.

I wouldnt be against Hillis
As long as it was a good deal and he proved he was healthy, I would take a look at Pead,James or another change of pace back mid rounds though. As long as the OL improves, the running game will improve.

My thoughts exactly
If we signed him, I’d like to see the team draft a RB like Pead in the 3rd or 4th.
The only problem is he’s going to demand more money than he deserves. Maybe if he goes a week or two without getting signed, he’ll lower his asking price.

i'd take him (for the right price)
He’s a big bruiser, and would tandem well with a speedy/shifty guy like Bernard Scott, or LaMichael James. He’d have to be in a a tandem because his hard running style wears him down.
I know some people won’t want him becuase he “quit” on the Browns.
But we really don’t know the full story there.
I hate it when Ephram uses data & facts to refute my unfounded opinions....No chocolate chip cookies for him!!!
cleveland news is saying theyre getting closer in numbers with hillis.

Recent Dawg Pound posts indicate otherwise
The current work is the franchise not knowing what to offer before he hits the market. As of today, they are more than likely to let him hit the market and see if they can get him without wasting money to secure him before they gauge how cheaply the rest of the league views him.

last time the news paper wrote about it
They said Hillis was getting closer to the number Cleveland wants to pay. Who knows who’s right. But if they let hillis go, they pretty much have to draft Richardson, so they keep mccoy, and no reciever, and horrible line, so that just means they pretty much don’t improve.

I wouldn't sign Hillis
He’s injury prone the way he runs… We have Hillis in Leonard anyways.
1st RD-Kendall Wright-WR
1st RD-Mark Barron-SS
2nd RD-Chase Minnifield-CB
3rd RD-Amini Silatolu-OG
4th RD-Keenan Robinson-OLB
5th RD-Bobby Rainey-RB
6th RD-Devon Wylie-WR
7th RD-Bob Hebert-C
FA:
OG-Carl Nicks
RB-Micheal Bush
Hillis has a good 25 lbs on Leonard.

You know all white people look the same. Lmao!
I’m not going to tear you up over the though of getting Hillis cause the Madden curse usually subsides after a season (or two) but having a pic of my girl friend on as your profile pic is just way out of line. ;-)

If you white, you Ben Affleck
Bengals fan since day one.
Cardinals fan since I realized I had a choice.
Hillis to play FB
And still get a mid round RB
"A team is more than a group of individuals, its a group of individuals that come together to make a team"
I'd be ok with Hillis IF
if he proved he wasn’t going to be the guy the Browns got last year. Don’t know how he could do that, but he’d have to for me to consider it.
Not drafting RB in the first two rounds...
…. allows us to bring SUPER DEPTH to our roster. There are short term and long term options in FA. Why put all our eggs in one basket and draft high, when we could have much more value in our picks and paying less to get already known talent (not Benson).
Imagine getting Hillis and acquiring 2db’s and a lineman (or vice versa) in the first two rounds.
My dream would be to sign (Saints) Nicks, having Richardson fall to no. 17 and getting Jenkins at no. 21. Follow that with best available in round 2.
