Address our top needs in Free Agency

If we hit free agency and address our main needs, We could have a field day in the draft picking up the best talent available. Instead of settling for a guy because he's the best option available at the position were looking for.

Our Main needs are...

OG-Likely not going to sign Carl Nicks or Grubbs, but if we did it'd be great. Were probably looking to sign a Deuce Lutui type guy.

CB- I'd try and sign CB Terell Thomas so we can draft BPA in the draft.

SS-I'd like for us to sign Laron Landry. I don't think i'd pick Barron in the 1st, & there is no other safety in the draft that would be good enough to be starter material right away.

RB- I'd wait till after the draft to make a decision on signing a RB. If Richardson is there for our 17th pick i would take him, but if not we shouldn't burn one of our 1st rounders on any other RB & take Michael Bush in Free Agency.

WR- We need a WR. If we addressed our top needs in Free agency and went with the best talent available in the draft, i'd say we take WR Kendall Wright with our 1st pick.

My Draft if we adressed our needs in Free Agency (3 Rounds)

WR-Kendell Wright..Reason- With his lightning speed it would open up the field having a guy like him to create seperation.

OG-Cordy Glenn..Reason- Taking an average guard in Free Agency, & taking Glenn in the draft who could be a a possible elite guard in the nfl could really improve our O Line.

DT-Brandon Thompson...may fall to us...Take a Run stopper if Sims doesn't come back, & someone who can take on double teams to free up Geno.

RB-LaMicheal James...may fall to us...If we took Richardson and had James as our change pace back we would be running all over teams as long as we made changes to 1 or both of our OG positions...But if Richardson isn't there we should take Michael Bush in free agency and try to get James or Chris Rainey in the 3rd round.

If we took Richardson we wouldn't be able to take Kendall Wright, but we'd still be able to take Cordy Glenn and have a dominant O Line. As long as we took a starting FA Guard who's somewhat good.

Deuce Lutui he failed the physical last time we brought him in.

Check out a guy like Chilo Rachal he may be an option in our price range.

Although this is the first time I checked this place in a while I had to comment since I literally just made a mock and the first 4 picks were exactly the same, had Marvin Jones in the 4th to add depth to our WR’s. I had CB, SS, and RB addressed in FA to but different players.

Also I think Mike will bring in Martelluss Bennet at TE, he wanted the guy a few years ago and can get him cheap now I think it will happen.

I was against guys like James earlier in the year but I think bringing him in to run in a committee with a guy like Tolbert would be great. Most people arent fans of Wright in the first but Id rather take him than give the Steelers a 1st for Wallace.

Overall I would be happy with this ofc now Routt is gone I think a guy like Terrel Thomas is doable.

We’ll prolly Sign a guy nobody really expects, but there a good pickup..like Thomas Howard….& your 100 % right about not giving the Steelers another 1st rd pick, we can get the same guy in Kendall Wright and for a cheaper price..& nobody really talks about Terell Thomas but that’s what i’ve been saying, he suffered an ACL injury last year but he’s a damn good player.

My bet is the Bengals play it safe
Bengals big board as i see it
Trent Richardson RB if he falls
David DeCastro Off Guard
Kirkpatrick of Jenkins CB who the Bengals like the most
Glenn Off Guard or Barron Saftie who ever the Bengals like the most
These are the 6 of which 2 will be safe bets with the 2 first round picks
Bengals pick a running back in the second round
I all depends on how aggressive the Bengals are in the Free Agent Market

I'm starting to think we should wait till the 2nd & take CB Chase Minnifield...

I like Kirkpatrick, i’m not a real big fan of Jenkins but i’m not sure if either will be elite type CB’s & i’d be scared to use a 1st on either..We need to hit Free Agency and pick up Brandon Carr or Terell Thomas..It’s a must.
