Steeling Wallace

Adam Schefter was just on ESPN talking about how vulnerable the Steelers are to losing players in free agency due to the salary cap. Right now Mike Wallace is a Restricted Free Agent, which means any team that signs him would have to send a 1st round pick to the Steelers. Of course the Steelers would have the option to match the offer and that's where it gets interesting. The Steelers are still 11 million over the salary cap, so if a team offered Mike Wallace a contract with a big roster bonus (which counts against the cap unlike a signing bonus) the Steelers would be unable to match the offer.

The Browns and the Bengals are in prime position to make a move like this. We both have two first round picks, plenty of cap space for 2012, a need at WR AND an opportunity to weaken a division rival.

So what do you think? Assuming we made a splash in free agency and addressed our needs, would you be happy with the move?"
