Bengals trade the 21st pick...? To Dolphins?

With the 17th Pick the Cincinnati Bengals select: David DeCastro

So... Bengals are on the clock at 21... Alfonzon Dennard, Janoris Jenkins, Mark Barron, & Dre Kirkpatrick are all off the board.

The Dolphins call... Unable to get Peyton Manning or Matt Flynn in the offseason, target Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M

Bengals give up the 21st to Dolphins for 2nd Round (Pick #42) & 1st Round Pick in 2013.

...

With the 42nd Pick the Cincinnati Bengals select: Doug Martin

I would be ok with this if we got DeCastro at 17

To some extent. If there’s a really strong prospect at LB, CB, S, RB, or OL (any spot) I’d take them instead. Even having already taken DeCastro.

RB would be a bit less of a concern unless Richardson is still available, as I don’t see a huge difference between the rest and the round 3 projected guys, but that’s what I meant by a really strong prospect. Someone that’s much better than who will be available at our pick in the 2nd.

Tannehill isn't worth a first round pick

no matter what year it’s traded for.

I can see a trade with the Redskins if they don't get RG3.

They trade to 21 to take Tannehill and we get their 2nd round pick (38) and 4th along with 2013 second. Not sure if that trade value works out, but something similar.

Re: Or the Redskins...

I thought the Dolphins because of the Mike Sherman & Texas A&M tie in.

But the Redskins work for all the same reasons.

I would however have to get a 1st round pick back in order to pull the trigger.

NO way Bengals trade either 1st round picks.

I think Mike Brown finally realizes he has a winning situation in front of him as long as he does things right and let Marvin, Mike and Jay do their thing. I think Mike Brown remembers that he wanted Ryan Mallett instead of Dalton.

I don’t see Decastro being there at 17 but he might because you normally don’t see OG going in the top 15 but Cordy Glenn is only a notch below him and there is no way that Kirkpatrick or Jenkins is there at 21. Jenkins was the best corner at the senior bowl and Dre Kirkpatrick is 6’3 and can run with anyone. Dre got a weed arrest but Dallas and Cincy would still take him!

DeCastro making it to pick 17

I have a good feeling DeCastro will fall to 17 here is why…

Carl Nicks and Ben Brubbs both are Free Agents and both are likely to have new to teams…

I fully expect one of them to sign a HUGE deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

I wish one of them would sign with Cincy, but lets be realistic we never sign the big names.

But what that does no is drop DeCastro down on the board. Hopefully to us at 17.

i'd be happy with a 2nd and a 2013 1st for #21 overall

the Dolphins have to compete with NE and NYJ, so their 1st in 2013 is going to be in the 1~15 range, which is better than #21 overall. And to get the 2012 second thrown in is just gravy on top!

I hate it when Ephram uses data & facts to refute my unfounded opinions....No chocolate chip cookies for him!!!

2 OL would beef up the line….

cant argue with that

2 first round guards with Andre finally living up to his first round pick, and whit being great, make this offense way better.
