Schefter: Hue Jackson Was Scheduled To Talk To Giants About QB Coach Position
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hue Jackson, who accepted an assistant coaching position with the Cincinnati Bengals in which he will be working with the secondary and special teams, was scheduled to visit with the Giants to interview for the team's quarterback coach position.
Former Raiders HC Hue Jackson had been scheduled to speak to Giants this week about QB coach job. Jackson accepted asst coach job in Cincy.
The fact that Jackson accepted the job in Cincinnati before heading to New York to work with the team that just won the Super Bowl and Eli Manning, the game's MVP, probably has a lot to do with his relationship with Marvin Lewis and the team. I for one, am happy to have him back in the Queen City.

I think you meant Jackson :)

Hue knows what's up!
He knows what team is on the way up or what star to hitch his wagon to. :-)

Token Interview
Hue probably seen the writing on the wall, was just another one of those BS interviews
He could have rode Eli’s coattail
Hue’s probably a little insecure after the way he was treated in Oakland, and feels more comfortable with Marvin
Who wouldnt want to ba a part of this team right now?

i think the underline story here is Hue is holding a big grudge against the Raiders
i think he somewhat took the job in spite of the Raiders, since they decided to go a different direction with the new management.
AMAS
To be fair
Hue brought alot of the things from Oakland on himself. He was a unproven HC who had the balls to take his issues to the media. A HC just doesn’t do that and expect to have his job for long. I would go so far as to say if Cincy doesn’t give him a shot at HC (which I hope they don’t) then no one else will either.
It’s the whole Zimmer effect, where front offices don’t like coaches who speak their minds.

I don't think you guys are reading into this enough
Hue knows Offense, what he lacks is a mind for the Defense, he knows we have some great teachers here for learning the ins and outs of Defense, He wants to be a head coach again and knows what his weakness is and is trying to shore it up so he doesn’t have another top 10 O and bottom feeder D, to me, it’s brilliant.
personally
I don’t want to see Marvin fired, I want him to be promoted to G.M. while handing the reigns over to Zimmer as head coach. Who Dey!!!
