Well ladies and gentlemen, we have come to the point in the NFL season where things slow down for a bit until the draft. Just about the only thing that passes the time are endless mock drafts and dreams of a stacked roster for the start of the year. With that in mind, I though it would be interesting to hear from all of you on how you became a diehard Bengals fan.

I figure people come to this site for one of two reasons. You are either an annoying troll or you have a passion for Bengals football and you developed that passion at some point in your life. I would love to hear from the CincyJungle community and find out where your undying passion for Bengals stripes came from.

I'll go first - I didn't suffer through the 90's as a fan of any NFL team so I really can't share the same pain as some of you did during the dark ages. However, I remember one day in 2003 I turned on the radio while in my car and stumbled upon Dave Lapham going nuts after a sick Chad Johnson touchdown. It piqued my interest and I started tuning in to games religiously. It didn't take but a month for the Bengals to turn into an all out obsession and at that point I knew I was in it for the long haul. Pretty simple story.

Perhaps you were born and raised a Bengals fan by your parents. Maybe you tagged along to a game with a friend who had an extra ticket and developed your obsession then. It's possible you worked in a traveling circus with Bengal tigers your whole life and had no choice but to root for the team that wore the image of the mighty animal you worked with every day.
