With the Draft approaching, there is more rampant rumors then I ever imagined involving the Bengals, some I've heard, but most I have not. So here they are, and you can be the judge if we do it, if it benefits us, or just plain stupid... Enjoy!
1. Several fans in KC are thinking that the Bengals will trade both our 1st rd picks (17 & 21) to move up to their 11th to take Richardson or DeCastro. My Take- this sounds insane to me. I like Richardson but RB's and OG's are easier to replace and dont warant both our 1st rd picks.
2. Arizona seems convinced that we will trade our 17th pick and our 2nd rd pick just to move up to their 13th spot for DeCastro. My Take- Dont like this. Giving up our 2nd rd pick just to move 4 spots seems like too much. Especially if we target Carl Nicks or Ben Grubs in FA.
3. Miami thinks the Bengals will trade both our 1st rd picks (17th and 21st) for their 8th pick to get Richardson. My Take - Not Happening, but this would atleast land us in the top 8.
4. Bengals trading back -
Some 49ers fans have the Bengals drafting Richardson at 17th, then trading our 21st pick to the 49ers for their 30th pick and for the 49ers 4th rd pick. (127th pick). With this pick, the 49ers steal Kendal Wright (WR -BAYLOR) from the Ravens. My Take- I actually like this if we sign a stud OG in FA. If we land NIcks or Grubs, then have Richardson fall to 17, we could still get a quality CB with the 30th pick, plus we get an extra 4th rd pick that we could use on Safety.
