Time for my Mock Draft.

Being a dedicated and fellow Cincyjungle reader. i think its time for my mock draft.

Round 1. pick 17- David Decastro-

if we want to prove to teams that we are in fact for real next season, it starts with building a strong and secure offensive line. Whitworth, Smith, and Cook are our cornerstones. and still young. if we add another stout O linemen, we are one step closer to having our run game back. we shouldnt draft a great running back without having a good line. ( AKA Barry Sanders).

Round 1. Pick 21- Mark Barron-

its obvious that we are in need of a saftey. i dont want to mention Crockers name on here anymore then it had been tarnished. but it is in fact true. adding a safety from an amazing defense from Alabama would greatly help solidify our secondary. if not Barron, i say we pick Janoris Jenkins.

Round 2.

Isiah Pead- i know, i am a cincinnati native and everything. but this guy is STOUT!! i went to, and watched alot of Uc games to see that this guy has skills. he is strong, can catch the ball, and he has the built of a sucessful Running back. we dont need a high callibur running back. its the O-line that makes great running backs. but this guy would be a steal.

Round 3- Alshon Jeffries or Kendall Wright.

with the future of Jerome in question, we do need to pick up another receiver for the offense. Simpson often disappeared and it became apparent when we would lose games thanks to the in ability of our receivers. other then AJ. so adding another receiver would finally make us a legitimate passing threat.

Round 3.- Trumaine Johnson

it is evident that we are in need of a secondary makeover. but adding Trumaine, and mark barron to our secondary makes us strong. with Hall, Pacman, Jennings, Clements, and Johnson would be a good lineup.

Round 4. -Derrick Wolfe

adding another great motor guy to our D- line rotation would make us legit. and i am a little bias towards Cincy.

all i have for now. what do you guys think?

ummmm

you do know kendall wright is a 1st rd pick and no way jeffery falls that far… and i would not take pead in the 2nd if i were to take him at all

I think we need to get somehow get Pead in the top half in the 3rd round

Overall i like it, I’ll have my mock soon with full Depth Analysis

no way those WR last that long.

Both Jeffrey and the kid from Baylor will be first rd picks. Jeffrey’s numbers slipped because his QB sucks. And by the way…Cincy will not get an extra 3rd pick this year. Normally with losing Joseph we would get one but we signed to many FA so it canceled us getting a compensatory……….. it sucks because I thought the same thing. I love Barron as well and I agree with you about fixing OG before g etting a RB. OVERALL NOT BAD.

sorry

but neither of those WRs will be available in round 3 and why do we have two 3rd round picks?

I am assuming he is assuming a 3rd round comp for J-Jo

You're Right

He is assuming we are going to get an extra 3rd for J-Jo, but Reedy has written on multiple occasions that because of the players the Bengals signed in free agency they will not get a compensation pick for him.

Seriously that blows...

It’s not like we picked up his rePlacement in Clements and Howard…. Damn I was thinking we did as well

AD to AJ = TD!!

i could have swore..

that we would have gotten a compensation pick for J-Joe. but i guess your right about the other players signed.

I think a 7th rounder is possible

but not a third because we signed too many FA.

haha.......

I thought Round 3 with the WR’s was a formatting error or something……it’s not. I would recommend reading up on some mocks……..

Hell depending on whos there

I would take Kendall Wright in the first. The more I watch him the more I love him. I think people think because of his size he is a slot guy. Thats not the case. He was moved around a lot but played mostly on the outside. Reminds me of Steve Smith

We could use a guy like Wright as our #2

With his speed and agility he can create seperation and get open quicker.

Actually...

i do read some mocks dude. i got confused between BJ Cunningham and Kendall Wright.
i would change those two to BJ. and Marvin Mcnut or Marvin Jones

Or Ryan Broyles?

Gotcha, just wondered what you were smoking :)

Wouldn’t have a problem with rest of draft, hopefully we address a #2 WR via free agency to free up our picks for both lines and the secondary.

I like the DeCastro & Barron pick..

but what about our CB situation?..and Kendal Wright won’t fall that far..& in the 2nd round i’d take Doug Martin.

by Bengal4ever on Feb 7, 2012 11:43 AM EST reply actions

Some of your UC homerism showing here with Pead.

Everything you said about him is true also for Doug Martin, and to a greater degree. Doug Martin in the 2nd is definitely a good pick. I’d take Pead in the 3rd if we haven’t taken a back before then in the draft.

by Luke on Feb 7, 2012 12:20 PM EST reply actions

As a non-UC, not in Cincy guy, I would take Pead in the second

especially if we pick up Bush or Benjarvus Green-Ellis as a compliment in free agency.

by jim0ijk on Feb 7, 2012 12:37 PM EST up reply actions

NO WAY

DeCastro will most likely be gone and you will not get either of the WR’s you are talking about even with our second round pick If you want a WR in the third look at Bowles from OK and hopefully we use some cap room to go after Grubbs or Nicks at OG

by js3806 on Feb 7, 2012 1:31 PM EST reply actions

If DeCastro is gone, then our only option would be Zeitler or Glenn

We can’t afford to not take a guard in the 1st or 2nd rounds.

Osemele? Konz?

any other tackle or center to convert to guard?
