Open Thread: The Tuesday After
The last game of the 2011 NFL season is over and the New York Giants have been completed their improbable run as world champions. They have been celebrated in their hometown and the new league year is in view.
Next up is the Scouting Combine. You've seen the list of the invitees and have some mock drafts as references--who will you be keeping an eye on? What should be the Bengals' first moves in their offseason plan? Sound off on your forum--the Open Thread.

someone wake me up when its september.
the offseason is too long of a waite
wellllll
this shows just how sick i am:
as a bengals fan, it helps me deal with the off season to have a collection of bengals vhs/dvd items. the vhs tapes have of course been dumped to dvd. my bengals collection begins with the 81 superbowl, 88 bowl, plus year books for both seasons, a handful of games in the 90s to 00s. bengals hardknocks, and a few nfln produced items.

I think the fact that we are here
during the offseason shows how sick we all are…..glad I’m not alone
AJ Green = Optimus Prime

Hey, at least Spring Training is around the corner.
Paul Brown Stadium, where everyone's hopes go to die.
hardknocks. lol im glad you brought that up
I wonder which team gets it this year? Raiders? Texans? 49ers? …..
AMAS
hard to know if they will even produce a hard knocks season this year
hbo and the nfl skip years between seasons at times.

i think they didn't have one last year because of the shorten off season
i would expect them to bring it back, it was a hit almost every year. I would mind if the bengals did it again. But since I want the bengals to draft pead, build a practice bubble, and win a playoff game. LOL im probably pushing my luck with getting my wishes come true.
AMAS
i dont know what to make of the production schedule for the series
Baltimore Ravens (2001)
Dallas Cowboys (2002)
Kansas City Chiefs (2007)
Dallas Cowboys (2008)
Cincinnati Bengals (2009)
New York Jets (2010)
for 2011 we got this tweet:
According to Sports Illustared, "The seventh season of the popular NFL show ‘Hard Knocks’ has been canceled. The show was just an afterthought with the bitter labor struggle."
maybe hardknocks will be around in 2012. i really don’t know

Hire a linebacker and db coach
I would think that would be the first thing they need to do!

Where's the Talent ?
Look at the Blue Chip players and reasonable Free Agents. Make a wish list graded on talent and stick to it until every player you want is taken or cost too much and then you grab whoever you can. It’s pretty much the same every year.
My fiance loves this time of year cause she feels like she has her Sundays back...
No reds games, UC hardly ever plays a basketball game on Sunday, so now I HAVE to do family stuff, work around the house, blah blah blah. Cincinnati needs to get a professional basketball team again to give me something to root for during these cold, boring winter months.
FYI
Steelers release CB Bryant McFadden and WR Arnaz Battle
