Hours before the new league year begins, the Cincinnati Bengals tendered contracts to free agents Clark Harris, Dan Skuta and Jeromy Miles on Tuesday. Long-snapper Clark Harris and linebacker Dan Skuta are restricted free agents, who could still leave if another team signs either to an offer sheet, with the Bengals unlikely receiving compensation in return. Jeromy Miles, as an exclusive-rights free agent, is committed to the Bengals, now that he's been tendered by Cincinnati (hence "exclusive").
Cincinnati has now tendered all of their restricted and exclusive-rights free agents this year. Fullback Chris Pressley signed a two-year deal last week, while exclusive-rights free agents Cedric Peerman, Nick Hayden and Vincent Rey received tenders on Monday.
Skuta took part in 170 defensive snaps in 2011, mostly as Rey Maualuga's replacement when the starting middle linebacker went down with an injury, generating 34 tackles, a shared-sack and a forced fumble.
Miles led the Bengals with 15 special teams tackles, playing all 16 games including Cincinnati's wild card game against the Houston Texans.
