According to Jay Glazer, the New Orleans Saints and wide receiver Marques Colston have come to terms on a five-year deal.
Scoopage: Take 1 name off the list of free agents set to hit the market today. Saints have just agreed to new 5 yr deal w WR Marques Colston
This means the pool of wide receivers available in free agency is a little smaller and it also means that the Saints have no shot at retaining Carl Nicks, who has been expected to become a free agent since the Saints used the franchise tag on quarterback Drew Brees.
Colston was going to be one of the top free agent wide receivers in this year's class and even though it would have been likely that the Bengals would not have spend the money necessary to land him, it would have been cool to see Colston and A.J. Green on the field at the same time wearing the same uniform.
