They are single-handedly decimating the free agent wide receiver market. First they signed Pierre Garcon for 5 years and $42.5 million ($21.5 million guaranteed). Then they picked up Josh Morgan for 2 years at $12 million ($7.5 million guaranteed). Now reports are that they're trying to land Eddie Royal too... These were all potential targets to fill the Bengals #2 receiver spot. Now, I'm sure everyone knew that the Redskins would go nuts in free agency, and normally I wouldn't care, but they're willingness to overpay these guys is going to make it that much harder to find a viable number #2 receiver for the bargain bottom price that Mike Brown loves so much.

In addition to these receivers they just resigned Adam Carricker for $5 million per season and are pursuing Kyle Orton. Between the huge trade for RGIII and the over-payed free agents they're bringing in, there seem to be a lot of questionable decisions coming out of DC recently. Almost makes me glad we have a stickler like Mike Brown writing the checks... Almost....
