It's been nice enjoying life, the combine, preparing for another season without an indoor facility, the fact that the raiders are AWESOME and gave us their First Round 17th pick....

Then free agency began.

I'm gonna miss Jonathan Fanene and Frostee Rucker simply because our D-Line rotation was our lone defensive standout in what finally seemed to be cohesion.

In typical Cincy fashion, Nate Livings will probably develop into a pro-bowler in Dallas but I doubt he'll be missed.

Despite the obvious managerial need to save cap space (oh wait, we have the MOST CAP ROOM OF ANY TEAM!!!!) I guess as usual it's too optimistic to hope for some DEPTH, seeing as depth and injuries along with mARVIN continuing to breathe oxygen are the things that always kill us down the stretch.

But defensively trying to grab a strong safety, a corner, a nose tackle, an inside or outside LB, another corner, another safety without hanging our hopes on the draft would be something extremely therapeutic for my heart. So would keeping Reggie Nelson, Pat Sims, Dan Skuta, and Manny Lawson all while not losing the best person in our entire organization Mike Zimmer.

But hey, Sanchez got a 3 year deal so at least we can all still laugh at that shit.
