Carolina just signed Mike Tolbert to a 4 year deal. This has increased speculation that Jonathan Stewart is on the trade block following the big contract they gave to DeAngelo Williams last year and the fact that Stewart is in a contract year.

Stewart would be a massive upgrade over all the FA RBs and a great back for our team. He doesn't have a lot of wear and tear on his body, is only 25 and has averaged a ridiculous 4.8 ypc over his career. I've always thought he was better than Williams and the most underrated back in the league.

It looks like a 2nd round pick might get the deal done and I think that's an awesome pick up for us. I don't suspect we'll go after him but he could be an amazing pick up if we did.
