The Bengals have solidified every position in FA except WR2 and that makes me all giddy inside about the upcoming draft. I see a lot of other fans saying we need a CB, S, RB, OG... I must disagree and it makes me happy to do so, why? Because for the first time, (that I can remember) the Bengals are in a position to grab the BEST AVAILABLE TALENT at picks17 and 21 without worrying about position needs. Fans can gripe and moan about BGE, Allen, Crocker, Pacman, Shipley, back up for this, back up for that, and etc all they want, but these are solid players in their positions. They are not star value players, but solid enough that the Bengals shouldn't feel compelled to pick over talent to fill a position. For example, would you want the Bengals to pick CB Kirkpatric over OG Decastro just because some fan is worried about Hall's injury or to fill Crocker's position. Those are some wild examples, because they are both going in the top 10 most likely. I'm just trying to make a point here and that is the a Bengals can draft the best overall player at picks 17 and 21. In rounds 2 and 3 they can start worrying about position. I believe the Bengals are thinking just this because they have boosted their scouting and widened their search and to be honest, I think MB has finally opened his eyes and his wallet a little bit more... Good things are coming to Cincy... Just don't expect the Bengals to go after big money FA for the next few years, because they are rebuilding and doing it the right way. Our rivals, Ravens and Steelers, are getting older and older, while the Bengals are younger, faster, and hungry! The future does look bright for the Bengals, just wait and see.
