With the No. 8 pick in the 2012 Cincy Jungle Mock Draft, the Miami Dolphins select...
Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
Reggie Bush revitalized his career in Miami in 2011 as he had his first 1,000-yard season in his career. The Dolphins also got Daniel Thomas, who ran for over 500 yards, early in the draft in 2011. While the selection of Richardson may be somewhat a surprise, a backfield consisting of Bush, Thomas and Richardson would be extremely tough to stop and help Miami succeed in the AFC East.
Richardson is the best player left on the board and even though he isn't exactly what the Dolphins need, he represents the future of the backfield and gives whatever quarterback is behind center a talented weapon in the backfield. Richardson can do it all. He can run between the tackles, he can get around the edge and he can catch the ball out of the backfield. He's a tremendous weapon for a struggling quarterback.
Trent Richardson Highlights:
Joe Goodberry's Instant Analysis:
A surprise pick. Trent Richardson goes to a crowded backfield with Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas. Richardson should easily win that job and become their lead back by week one. It's a shame they didn't go QB with this pick. Tannehill is a slight reach, but QB trumps all needs.
