Earlier this week, a report surfaced that Amobi Okoye would be visiting the Bengals at some point after the league's meetings concluded in Florida.
Fortunately, that visit is still scheduled to occur, and will happen early next week.
Okoye's visit to the #bengals per league source will be early next week
Okoye is a defensive tackle who was drafted 10th overall in the 2007 NFL draft. If signed, he would be the 4th player from the first round of the 2007 draft to join the Bengals (Jamaal Anderson 8th, Leon Hall 18th, and Reggie Nelson 21st).
He would join a loaded defensive tackle unit of Geno Atkins, Domata Peko, and the recently-resigned Pat Sims. Okoye would presumably be on the field for pass-rushing situations, alongside Geno Atkins. If the Bengals want to ensure that the defensive line reamins the strength of the team, signing Okoye is the way to do it.
