This Friday morning former Denver Broncos corner back Parish Cox was equited of a sexual assault charge that has been pending for the last year. He already had a history of character concerns and was cut by the Broncos in 2011, after the charges were brought fourth. He's a pretty talented CB. I could see (with the uncertainty surrounding Leon Hall) the Bengals taking a flyer on him with a short term deal (1-2 years).
I'm generally not a fan of going after players with character concerns but if we do it I think it's better to go after a player like him in FA rather than through the draft. At least in FA you have more control over the length and terms of the deal. You also have less to lose (a valuable draft picks if you do it during the draft) if it does not work out. It's more of a low risk high reward proposition.
I'm not saying we should go this route or even sign this guy, I’m just saying be on look out for a Perrish Cox sighting. A signing like this would NOT be out of character for the Bengals.
