The Cincinnati Bengals are one of many teams currently in attendance at Illinois Pro Day on Tuesday. Players that the Bengals could be checking out includes defensive end Whitney Mercilus, offensive lineman Jeff Allen, wide receiver A.J. Jenkins and safety Tavon Wilson, among over a dozen players reportedly working out in front of scouts.
According to Joe Goodberry's Big Board, Marcelius is a first-round projection but more defined as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 base defense. Offensive lineman Jeff Allen, versatile enough to play guard and tackle, is more along the range of a mid-3rd and fourth-round selection while Jenkins, a slot receiver with 4.39 speed (at the NFL Combine), could go around the fifth round.
In regards to Allen, Scout Inc. grades his pass protection and run blocking as average with exceptional production and durability.
Other known teams include the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans. Representatives with 29 teams are in attendance.
