Strong Safety Options

Alright so I know we are all extremely saddened by the loss of our beloved Chris Crocker, but it's time to move onto the next safety. Would you guys be more comfortable with the inexperienced Mays, an unknown draft pick (Barron or Smith from ND), or a wily veteran stopgap like Yeremiah Bell?

Mays: The coaches seem to love Taylor and feel confident in his abilities to play He covered Owen Daniels brilliantly in the second half of the first Texans game but seemed to have trouble every other time. I haven't watched enough of him to make a verdict.

Bell: From what I have heard, the Dolphins released him solely due to his contract, not due to his play. He can still lay the wood down and would allow Mays to learn from a pro-bowl SS. Though his coverage skills have dropped with age, I feel like Zimmer can mask his deficiencies. I would honestly love the pickup. He would provide veteran leadership and allow Mays to develop another year. Surprisingly, only two teams have looked at him as a viable option. Hopefully the Bengals front office looks into him and picks him up, thereby opening another early-round draft pick.
