1. Andy Dalton
with offseason should get that much better
backup who knows offense and can step in and win games(at least against cleveland)
''Main back'' in RB by committee, in between the tackles, hard nose, short yardage back.
Change of space, back with the speed
Third down back who I think is better receiver that BJGE just looking at the stats. A fan favorite because of his clutchness.(4th and 10 vs. Steelers 2010)
1. Dan Herron
little chance to make the team, but maybe he is good enough at special teams
Good special teamer but not much more than that.
Lead blocker of the runners.
1. A.J Green
2. Marvin Jones
Saw highlight, love his catch radius, route running and has some stretching the field skill but not elite, I think he will lineup oppositte A,J. on opening day
Our Wes Welker
4. Mohamed Sanu
Inside and Outside toughness, Our Anquan Boldin
Not Locks - 2 spots up for grabs amongst these 8. I pick Whalen and Moore to make team.
1. Ryan Whalen
most likely candidate to be Jones's backup, can play outside and inside good route running, showed skill late in season.
2. Armon Binns
I give Whalen the advantage to backup Jones because he is the one that has showed something in the field and if no one could really cover him in practice, he would've gotten the nod ahead of Whalen
3. Kashif Moore
I believe he will be AJs backup, great leaping ability and speed, reminds me of Steve Smith of panthers, same height, and like smith will contribute first on return game.
4. Taveon Rogers
Dark horse to be AJs backup, Deep threat with return skills
Another dark horse to be AJs backup, deep threat. he says he is like mike wallace
I think he is least likely to make roster, idk anything about him.
7. Andrew Hawkins
Alot of people like him but I just see him as mainly inside receiver who got the playing time and little production because Shipley was injured. Now that he's here, there is no need for him shipley does what he does way better.
8. Brandon Tate
Didn't like his returns last year, and i think pacman is better. Supposedly his big and fast so he has some sort of chance to be #6 WR
Pro bowl (albeit ''not really pro bowl because of gronks and hernandez super bowl, and Daniel's injury) Tight End who will explode next season as best TE in league.
Great receiving TE with speed and toughness. Our own Hernandez with better blocking ability.
Not locks- 2 fight for one roster spot- I pick Cochart
I like his blocking ability and has some receivng abiltiy, but main focus will be on blocking. Pick him over Lee to continue the youth movement.
2. Donald Lee
Better receiver than Cochart but Charles will occupy the #2 TE spot, so not much receivng is asked on #3 TE.
I don't see him as a better blocker than cochart
1. Andre Smith
Will only get better as he progressess going into contract year
Is gonna be our RG and best interior player of the season, backup C
3. Kyle Cook
Old reliable Cook who will better year than last year with better supporting cast
Starting LG who will be an upgrade over livings in every aspect.
Best OLmen in team.
Can start, great backup RT
7. Otis Hudson
Now healthy, can show why coaches loved him in camp
8. Clint Boling
Starting quality backup who will later on replace Wharton, backup C
Least sure of all but is backup LT with experience and dont see any one jumping in front of him.
Most expereinced and valuable run defender
Our best outside pass rusher who will become pro bowler next season
3. Domata Peko
Our run stuffer
Peko's backup, great run stuffer on first downs and goal line situations
5. Geno Atkins
best interior Dlinemen, pro bowler
6. Devon Still
Atkins backup, gonna have a good rotational year as inside pass rusher
7. Jammaal Anderson
Can play inside too, but he will be our starting RDE who is good against run
8. Michael Johnson
Our RDE pass rusher who can hopefully like he says'' make the best tandem with Dunlap in League.''
Not Locks- depends on what they see more valuable, outside or inside help, even though Sims is better, I see DE as more of a need. probably Harvey
1. Pat Sims
Darkhorse for last DL spot
1, Manny Lawson
hopefully will provide some pass rushing but good reliable tackler and cover guy
2. Dontay Moch
SAM backer who will play on third down as pass rusher
3. Rey Maualuga
Hopefully this is the year for him
4. Dan Skuta
great special teamer, reliable SAM and inside backup
Our best LB who will only get better
IF healthy he gets the nod to backup howard, good special teamer.
2. Vontaze Burficy
has tons of upside who will backup Maualuga w/ Skuta, can play special teams
3. Vincent Rey
he and Brurfict will ultimately fight for last LB spot, but i give Burfict advantage
4. Dequin Evans
Pass rusher, but raw
5. Michah Johnson
Darkhorse for last LB spot
DB(Will be 5 CB and 5 safety or 6 CB and 4 safety) Given he amount of talent at CB i say 6 CB
1. Leon Hall
Our #1 CB, who i have faith wil be ready for opening day
Will have chance to start but will most likely be the one who is Hall's and Number 2 CBs backup
Starting FS who will get better in coverage
4. Taylor Mays
favorite to start at SS, hopefully he is taught well my new DB Coach
5. George Iloka
Backup SS who will help on special teams
Obvious candidate for starting especially if hall is on PUP, but if hall is healthy and the coaches see that Newman can be a starter for a year while Kirkpatrick develops, I see him being a cap casualty even though it hurts me to say it becasue he played well and is great guy.
2. Terrrence Newman
will start if Hall is on PUP, or will start alongside Hall if coaches see that he can perform similarily to Clements. Like stated before, he will be cheaper option.
3. Jason Allen
Our inside corner, who can also play safety, i see him making the team.
4. Adam Jones
He will be 5th corner who i see being the main return guy for this team.
5. Shaun Prater
I like him alot and I see him as 6th and last corner, whose specialty is being a slot corner covering the likes of wes welker and victor cruz. NFL ready
6. Brandon Ghee
Unless he watched hERCULES and got really inspired to show what he can do, I imagine he will be cut.
7. Robert Sands
He and Miles will fight for last Safety spot, backup to Reggie NElson, but I THINK ultimately Miles is better
8. Jeromy Miles
Good special teamer who will play more this season as FS.
1. Mike Nugent
2. Kevin HUBER
hopefully he rebounds after bad season
3. Clark Harris
Long snapping specialist who is the one of the team that i would not recognize in public.
At the end of the day Dan Herron, Cedric Peerman, Pat Sims, and Derrick Harvey are battling for final roster spot, depends on whether they want to keep 4 or 3 rbs and 8 or 9 DL or who is most valuable or Best player. OF these four, one will make the team.
