The Bengals have been able to sign this year's rookie class with relative ease, thanks to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Outside of the third-rounders Brandon Thompson and Mohamed Sanu, the rest of this year's picks have all signed.
Apparently, this third round problem is not an anomaly unique to the Bengals, as the new CBA did not make it as easy for third rounders to sign in comparison to the simple slotted system of the first and second rounders.
Defensive Tackle Brandon Thompson was so frustrated with his agent, that he chose to switch.
Wide Receiver Mohamed Sanu has attended every day of both the rookie minicamp and OTAs, but Thompson did not attend Tuesday's OTA session for an undisclosed reason (presumably to sort out his contract situation) [edit- now known to be an illness]. Today's session was not open to the media.
