Cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick has had a mini roller coaster ride of an offseason thus far, as we commented earlier today.

He attended the rookie minicamp in early May, but missed the first two weeks of OTAs with a tweaked hamstring. Kirkpatrick returned to the field for the final week of OTAs last week, and attended the first day of a mandatory minicamp yesterday, but the 17th overall pick was held out of practice today due to an illness.

Kirkpatrick also tweeted this picture of himself lying exhausted on the floor after yesterday's practice. Kirkpatrick added that it was "super hot" outside and ironically the hashtag "NoDaysOff".

Fortunately, it seems that the illness is probably minor. But, Kirkpatrick has already missed exactly half of the team's practices since they began a month ago. Hopefully, this first rounder can keep himself on the field this year, though daily trips to the training room are never a good sign for future performance.
