USC busts...

Since 2003 we have drafted 3 USC players (two in the first rd. and one in the second rd.) Two are no longer with the team and a third may not be with us next year. What if we went back to the 2003, 2008 and 2009 drafts and re-drafted?

2003- took Carson Palmer USC #1
We had John Kitna who was playing decent, so we could've taken Andre Johnson WR out of Miami(was taken 3rd by Houston). This makes a lot of sense, mainly due to our questionable Wide Recieving Corps from 2002. Chad Johsnon was a stud, but it was down hill from there. Peter Warrick was clearly not going to live up to expectations, and the next player leading the team in recieving was Ron Dugans. If we would've taken Andre and waited to draft our franchise Quarterback in 2004, well no telling how good that could've been.

2008- took Keith Rivers USC #9
Our defense needed improvement and we took the "safe pick" with Rivers. We should've taken Curtis Lofton. Though Lofton wasn't chosen until the early 2nd round, he proved to be one of the better LBers of the draft, and would still be with the team. Coming out of Oklahoma this wasn't much of a stretch either.

2009-Choose Rey Maualuga USC #38
We should've took Connor Barwin (UC) at this pick. Connor is a stud, so much so that Houston dumped Mario Williams in favor of Barwin. Connor Barwin went just a few picks after Rey, so this was a giant let down.
