Time to have some fun with the backup QB situation in Cincinnati. The Browns are apparently wanting to trade McCoy for anything to spare him the embarrassment of being cut. Would you consider grabbing McCoy for a 7th round pick to serve as competition for our backup QB slots? (as Bengalnation and Cry brought up, the pick would need to be a 6th rounder since our 7th already belongs to the 49ers)
McCoy could bring some knowledge of the Browns offense to Cincinnati. Hey, an AFC North win is a win - even when its against Cleveland. The Bengals could use all the AFC North wins they can muster in 2012. Do we really have a proven QB for our #3? McCoy for cheap would offer an insurance policy in case of Dalton missing any games. We might not like to think about QB injuries, but they happen in the NFL. How many teams lost a starting QB for a game or longer in 2011? For a late round pick, I'd love to steal McCoy, who comes complete with the Brown's playbook too. He's under contract for 2012 and 2013 at a bargain basement salary of $540,000 and $575,000.
