Matt Williamson, former NFL and college scout for the Cleveland Browns and current ESPN and Scout Inc analyst, generated a top-15 list of wide receivers (In$ider), as he sees it, when the 2015 season rolls around (that's presuming that 2012 doesn't end us all). It's an interesting perspective, looking through a focused scope that presents an idea of tomorrow's superstars.
Williamson writes of A.J. Green:
I was very tempted to put Green at the top spot on this list. Johnson might be slightly past his prime in 2015 and Green might be right in the middle of his best seasons -- both are incredibly gifted players. In fact, I think Johnson and Green are the two most gifted wideouts in all of football right now. Green is going to be great. Actually, I am selling him short -- he is going to be one of the very best.
Green ranked second behind Detroit's Calvin Johnson, with Atlanta's Julio Jones, New York's Hakeem Nicks and Tennessee's Kenny Britt rounding out the top-five.
But we suspect we don't need to remind you how awesome Green can truly become.
