The Cleveland Browns Select WR Josh Gordon In The Second Round During 2012 Supplemental Draft

Stay connected for news and updates

After a first-round without any teams picking players during the 2012 NFL Supplemental draft (which is very common), the Cleveland Browns selected Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon in the second round. Gordon visited the Browns last week, the only team that invited him for a visit.

Gordon was dismissed from Baylor in August 2011 after a failed marijuana test, deciding to transfer to Utah, where he wasn't eligible to play. During his most previous season playing football in 2010, Gordon caught 42 passes for 714 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. As a result of the selection, the Browns forfeit their second round selection for the 2013 NFL draft.

Browns fans are mixed, some excited, others indifferent or at least peaking interest about the possibility.

Gordon was the only player selected during the supplemental draft. The Bengals selected at No. 25.
