Open Thread: Franchise Tag Monday

Today marked the deadline of teams having to sign their franchise tagged players to long-term deals and some teams got theirs done in the nick of time. The Chicago Bears signed running back Matt Forte to a four-year deal and the Baltimore Ravens signed their stud running back, Ray Rice, to a five-year deal. Do you think that either will struggle this season? Would you still draft them high in your fantasy football league?

Meanwhile, the Bengals failed to sign their franchise player, kicker Mike Nugent, to a long-term deal. Think it was a wise move? Should they have tagged another player instead of Nugent?

Discuss.
