The hint of a contract extension for Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer was brought up during the training camp media luncheon on Tuesday. When asked if there's been talks, Zimmer said, "yes." When asked if he was already under an extended contract, he sidestepped with the always awesome "I'm not at liberty to say."
Now he can.
According to Bengals.com, the Cincinnati Bengals have confirmed that Zimmer signed an extension recently.
Joe Reedy writes that the deal extends Zimmer through the 2014 season.
