It's here! Real Bengals football for the first time since January.
The game will be broadcasted on NFL Network, but unfortunately it's been blacked out and you won't be able to catch it live on TV, if you live near Cincinnati. You can watch the game on NFL.com's Preseason Live (which costs $20) [edit- the game is blacked out on this feature too], or listen to the radio, or maybe find a [sketchy] website streaming the game online. The game will also be played on tape delay at 11:35 pm on WKRC Channel 12, if you want to record it or stay up late.
The starters are only expected to be in for about two or three series of today's preseason game, which means that we will have an extensive look at the backups and young players. The preseason isn't about who wins the game, it's about which players are being used where, and how well they perform.
That being said, who do you think stands out? I'm excited to see the backup running backs perform, as well as the long list of capable receivers. We should see plenty of this year's draft picks tonight. How players are used along the defensive front will be interesting, as well as how well the secondary can hold up. Who's your favorite to do well?
We'll have a game thread up at kickoff at 7:30.
