It took a long time, but Cedric Benson has finally found a new NFL team - the Green Bay Packers. Benson couldn't find anyone that wanted his services early in free agency, and even got a little emotional on the radio when asked about the lack of interest in signing him.
The Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, and Green Bay Packers all reportedly had interest in Benson, but it was the Packers, who did not re-sign Ryan Grant, who ended up with Benson.
Benson enters a backfield that contains the young James Starks and Alex Green, who tore his ACL last year.
Bengals fans will get to see Benson again at Paul Brown Stadium in a few weeks, when the Bengals face the Green Bay Packers in week three of the preseason.
