With less than a minute remaining in the first half and Tim Tebow at quarterback, the New York Jets figured to run the clock out. Head coach Marvin Lewis stalled the clock as much as possible, calling two timeouts leaving 28 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Typically the tactic is used to hope for a big play or two to setup for a field goal.
Apparently Robert Sands kicks tactics to the curb, then spits on it.
Jets punter T.J. Conley takes the snap around his own goalline and Robert Sands sprints around his block, blocking the punt where Cedric Peerman recovers in the endzone for a touchdown. The Jets take a knee to end the first half.
Bengals lead the game 10-3.
