The Cincinnati Bengals have a 17-3 lead with 6:04 remaining in the third quarter with the Jets moving the football to Cincinnati's 31-yard line. Naturally after running the football and dinking footballs on short-yardage routes, it was only natural for Tebow to dink the football on a short-yardage throw. The intensity and beautiful awareness of Vontaze Burfict would have none of that.
After taking the snap, Tebow dropped back and looked left. Looked left. And then looked left again. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict shifted to his right shadowing tight end Jeff Cumberland's out route. Tebow, never seeing the linebacker, threw the football as Burfict dove, intercepting the football.
